FSB Accounts and Vat Bridge - Release Notes ------------------------------------------- v1.0 - December 2019 First Release, Accounts only v1.1 - FSBA June 2020 Inclusion of VAT Bridge and integration with Accounts v1.2 - FSBA August 2020 Bug - Transaction details report blank. Caused by an upgrade during v1.1 (aside, from the blank report, you could still use the file-menu to export the report to spreadsheet) Fixed. Improvement - Payee showing as "undefined". Caused by transaction entry generating a new payee. Then the new transaction is added to the disk, but not the payee. Then abnormnal exit, or exit without saving changes, which "loses" the payee. The next startup then has the payee as undefined. Changed. A new transaction will now also cause a full disk update for other outstanding changes. Improvement - Transaction entry for to/from, for a new name, is unwieldy. When the initial entry/matching decides that there are no matches, and reverts to simple new-name entry, it leaves the cursor on the 1st (already entered) character, rather than the last. Fixed. Improvement - Transaction list sorting "focus". When you select a transaction entry, then select column header to sort the display, it re-displays at the end of the sorted list. Changed to focus of the previously selected transaction. Improvement - Transaction list sorting. Case Sensitive. The re-display will do A..Z followed by a..z. Changed. The sort is now non-case-sensitive. Improvement - Blank screen after a Finish of Reconciliation. The application deliberately enforced account re-selection. Changed. Re-displays transactions for the account in use. v1.3 - FSBA October 2020 Improvement - Vat Rate The "Category" data type now include a Default Vat Rate. The aim being that, during transaction entry, you select a category. Whereas most categories (materials, sales etc) incur normal vat, there are some such as Insurance, Taxes, BankCharges etc that are non-vat. the change is to automatically fill in a default vat rate for the Category. When the new version of the application is started, it will detect the old database format, and prompt to be able to update it. Bug Fix - Export/Import NOTE THAT Export/Import to the QIF format is unchanged, Export (backup) to the FIX file format now also saves the primary "properties" such as default bank account, screen sizes etc. Bug Fix - Reconciliation Accvio crash when going to eg Bank to enter a missing transaction. v1.4 - FSBA December 2020 Vat Report HMRC changes to displayed field names. Bug Fix - vat for EC incorrect calc of EC related vat fields v1.1 - Vat Bridge - January 2021 HMRC issued v3 of the anti fraud comms headers. Requiring an upgrade to the Bridge interface with HMRC BugFix - 19 Jan 2021 - Accounts After finishing a reconciliation, it was necessary to restart the application because re-entry would show the old data, rather than resetting for a clean start. v1.3 - Vat Bridge - June 2022 bugfix - timestamp encoding error for single digit "hour" bugfix (maybe) - percent encoding os operating system (etc) when contains a "/" v1.5 - FSBA August 2022 bugfix - first time initialisation not properly setting up default accounts list Bug Fix - vat for EC incorrect calc of EC related vat fields v1.4 - Vat Bridge - 29th Oct 2022 fyi - the application contains a "secret" built in code that is used to authenticate with HMRC, who recommend periodic change of key. Followed by invalidation of the old key. This invalidation will take place approx 20th Nov. v1.6 - FSBA 28th November 2022 improvement to entry of Payee field no longer show VAT fields if unnecessary for the Account type bugfix - after Archive Old Data, new opening balances were wrong. v1.5 - Vat Bridge - Dec 2022 v1.6 - Vat Bridge - Dec 2022 Minor bug fixes. Enablement of manual entry of submission values. v1.7 - Vat Bridge - Feb 2023 Minor bug fix to handle HMRC API error notification. v.2.0 - Vat Bridge - Apr 2023 Having identified the source of the HMRC API error notification, properly bypassed. Most Pc's have the network interface on the motherboard. If that fails, it is common practice to add a separate network card (rather than a long drawn rebuild). However, the failed interface remains configured in to the operating system. A "ipconfig/all" command will then show this entry, but with an ip address of 0.0.0.0 HMRC consider that as an invalid address and generate an error. The Bridge application will now ignore these failed network adapters. As mentioned a couple of months ago. The HMRC API now includes display of any Penalties that you may been on the receiving end of. This functionality is now included into the application. See the updated User Guide for more information. v2.1 - VAT Bridge - May 2023 Minor bug fix within the encoding of Anti Fraud Headers. No functional changes. Upgrade from versions prior to v2.0 no longer valid. (cheat, edit the INI file to change the version field to be 2.0 before upgrade) OUSTANDING s.f.a
